December Report

December was a little challenging this year. Trying to plan trips around the wind and dirty water was tough. When we were able to get out, the bite was really good and the fish were big. The steelhead have moved in pretty thick and will winter in the river until they spawn in the spring. If you want to catch trophy trout January and February is the best time of the year. Call, text or email me for info. 716-550-9413 Let's GET THE NET WET

November 14th-19th

Lower Niagara River Fishing Report.

Everything looks to be on schedule for the winter trout run on the Niagara. The Lake Trout are in the river thick and more steelhead are showing up every day. December is one of the best times to catch steelhead on the river. I only have a few open days left in December. Give me a call or send an email or text and I'll let you know my availability.

October 28th &29th

Had two great days of fishing with my new friends Pierre & Andy. These guys can fish! I took them into a spot that isn't easy to fish...especially in low water, fast current or high winds. Well these were the conditions we had both mornings trying to get a few late season kings. They learned fast and ended up landing 5 of the 7 kings they hooked. In the afternoons we went down river and caught some Lakers. The Lakers were released quickly to return to there spawning activities. Once again the Yakima Bait Company Mag lip 3.0 was a stud on the Lakers. Green machine has been the hot color. I think I'm finally done targeting salmon for the year. Let's Get the Net Wet! October 27th

Bob and John braved the elements today on the Niagara and ended up having a great day! It was 15kt-20kt NW wind and rain all day. With the wind chill this morning it was 26 Deg. We ran eggs up river and Yakima Bait Company Mag Lip 3.0's down river. The Lakers were chomping on the Mag lips! Winter season is starting off good. It's only going to get better going into November. Let's get the net wet. Call or text for availability - 716-550-0413

October 2016 Salmon Season...

This year's run started a little late due to record high water temps. Once the water temp reached 70 deg the bite picked up. Here are a few pics of some fish that we caught. The river salmon run doesn't last long (usually Sept 20th - Oct 20th) with the peak bite being the middle two weeks. So if you want a prime date book early to lock in the date!

The next river run will start November 1st. The targeted species will steelhead (rainbow trout) and brown trout. We will catch lake trout also but they won't be targeted since they are out of season from Oct 1st - Jan 1st. Call or text to reserve a date. 716-560-0413

Early July!

The quality bite on lake Ontario Continues. Here are some pics from the last few weeks. We've been out every day staying on the fish and the bite. If you want to catch big king salmon now is the time. This spring and summer has been one of the best years for quality and quantity that I can remember. I have a few open dates left for the lake season. LET'S GET THE NET WET!  CALL OR TEXT...716-550-0413

Here are a few of our better fish from yesterday. We had great weather and plenty of fish to keep everyone happy.I still have a few good walleye dates available if your looking to fill the freezer. Call or text for info...716-560-0413.
Sorry for the lack of posts lately. It's been a very busy spring. The trout and salmon fishing in lake Ontario didn't disappoint anyone this spring. We caught big lake trout, fat king salmon and some really nice steelhead and Atlantic salmon. 'Team Wet Net' participated in the Niagara Pro Am. We caught a lot of nice fish but we were a little short of getting a check.

I also spent a few days on lake Erie catching small mouth bass and a few incidental walleye. The bass fishing is as good as it gets right now and the walleye bite is getting better every day. I still have good dates available for June bass and walleye on Erie. I also have good dates available for trout and salmon on Ontario. Let's GET THE NET WET...716-550-0413

End of April report...Lake Ontario

The bite has been outstanding for lake trout the last two weeks. Our catches have been averaging 50 a day with a few salmon bites coming in the last few days. If you want to go "catching" instead of fishing NOW is the time. The salmon bite will improve as we get into May. Let's GET THE NET WET. 716-550-0413

Lake Ontario trolling report...
April 19th

It's been a long time coming. I ran my first lake trip today and Lady O didn't disappoint us. Herman was by himself and he had his hands full with Lakers all day. They were hitting as fast as I could get the lines in! We even had two on the same rod. We quit when we landed No. 50! Spring is here and bite is on. Let's GET THE NET WET...(716) 550-0413

March 2016

I put a few trips on the new boat last weekend.
It just wouldn't be right if it wasn't christened properly so we took it to the bar on its first trip. The first 6 fish to hit the deck were Lake Trout. I couldn't think of a better way to christened it than with some laker slime! Then we worked our way back up river and picked away at some brown trout, steelhead and a few more Lakers.

March 31st

Had a fun day with some new customers today. Good action on Lakers and steelhead. Good bye March...hello April. It's time to start running lake Ontario trolling trips.

March 27th

March only has a few days to get it's act together if it's going to go out like a lamb...its still a lion! Had a good day despite the cold wind and sideways snow.

March 11th

The sun felt really good today. Blue bird skies and the fish were cooperating. Jim and Cliff had there hands full on the lower Niagara river.

February 6th & 7th
Niagara River winter steelhead fishing out of Lewiston New York.

Cold and icy couple days on the river for Waller winter fest and the Niagara river anglers steelhead tournament. We had a good time and caught some nice fish. Durring the two days we caught steelhead, brown trout, lake trout and walleye. February is one of the best times of the year to fish the river.

Feb 4th

Finally got a chance to try out the new Yakima Bait Company MAG LIP 3.0. Lots of ice and west wind on the Niagara today. Not the best day to pull plugs but I couldn't wait any longer. We ran one stock and one with the center hook & snap removed. Both lures caught fish. The stock lure out preformed the modified lure and neither one snagged. They will both get some more water time this weekend. I think we have a home run with this one!

January 8th & 9th

The wind was in our favor today on the Niagara bar. What an awesome day. We had steady action all day. Still can't believe it's January!!

Yesterday, we had a good day on the bar till we got blown off the lake. So we went up the river and crushed 'em. Congrats to Rob on his 20lb Niagara River Laker! It doesn't get much better. Call or text to take advantage of this great fishing. 716-550-0413

January 24th

Great day on the Lower Niagara River on Saturday with some new friends. This was there first time fishing steelhead on the river. All four guys were on the program before the end of the first drift and the action good all day. We had at least 45 bites and landed around 25 fish! When the action is this good it's hard to keep track.

ONE MORE THING...The bite hasn't peaked yet it's just going to get better in February!

January 7th

First trip for 2016 went well. We had a good mix of fish today. Browns and lakers on the bar and steelhead in the river. Btw...the bite on the bar right now is about as good as it can get!! My guys even let me catch a few. We landed 22 lakers, 4 steelhead and 3 browns. It's time to GET THE NET WET!
