9/26/13 & 9/27/13

The salmon run is under way on the Niagara river. The bite has been getting increasingly better every day. Yesterday...Sully was the star of the show yesterday landing two big kings before we headed out to the lake to do some trolling. Today Craig and his son Matt got into a few nice kings. We won a few of the battles and the fish won a few but the smiles say it all. I still have a few days left for this years salmon run.

9/28/13 Lower Niagara River Salmon fishing

Another good day on the river but a tough one. It took forever for the water to come up. It was tough to get bites with fast moving low water. When it finally came up and the current slowed down George and Jerry were ready to do battle.

Some Walleye fishing on Lake Erie 6/27/13

My good friend and customer Clark with some nice Walley from the Buffalo end of Lake Erie. It's prime time for Walleye on Lake Erie. The action will be really good through July. Don't miss your chance to fill the freezer with some of the best tasting fresh water fish available!

Niagara Bar 6/25/13

Kevin came all the way from California to take advantage of the great fishing the Niagara are has to offer. We spent the morning chasing lakers and had our hands full! With time running out and bad weather on the the way we decided to make one more pass over our spot. It was a good thing we did.

Kevin hooked the biggest fish of the day a few minutes into this last pass...a trophy 20+ Laker. Kevin will be back in a few weeks for some King Salmon action.

Lake Trout fishing on the Niagara Bar...6/24/13

Andy and Rod made the trip up from PA to fish the L.O.C. derby with wet net charters. The salmon fish was a little slow on Lake Ontario so we decided to target Lake Trout on the famous Niagara Bar instead. We launched at Old Fort Niagara state park and headed out towards the Welland Canal to my Lake Trout spot. We had a great day with non stop action all day long. We were running a 2 rod program and hooking up doulble after double! The final count was 57 lakers landed at the end of the day. Non of them made the leader board but good times were had by all and Andy and Rod went home with sore arms and a big smile! These Lake Trout average 10-14 Lbs. with fish up to 20 Lbs. common and a chance at a trophy Laker over 30 pounds!Days like this can be had now through August...

First two trolling trips of the season... 4/23/13

Had a great day on the lake today. Both of my trips today had a good time and caught plenty of fish. The afternoon would have been more enjoyable with out the 20 mph NORTH EAST WIND and 3-4+ foot waves. We even had a coho and a nice king today! Felt good to back on the the BIG pond. The lake bite is real good and is only going to get better! The kings are on their way! LETS GET THE NET WET 716-550-0413

Spring shore line trolling April 2013...

When the wind isn't blowing and you can get out on the water the fishing has been really good. Most of the fish we catch are Browns but we do catch other fish...lakers, steelies, coho and kings. As the water gets warmer the bite will keep getting better. This shallow water fishing doesn't last long, so don't miss your opportunity! One more thing...The browns have been averaging 6-8 Lbs. this spring. Usually the average is a lot smaller. LETS GET THE NET WET

There was a little green patch a few miles off the mouth...this is where he was. It won't be long now...FIRST KING FOR 2013! As soon as the water clears up the fishing will be on fire. Lakers, kings, browns and steelhead...spring is here don't miss your chance. Lets get the net wet! Wet Net Charters (716) 550-0413

"Niagara River and Niagara Bar Winter Fishing"

Another awesome day on the Lower Niagara River. I had a three guides from Oswego come down to the Niagara to see what all the hype is about the western end of Lake Ontario. They all had a good time and lots of fun...I'' sure they will be back. We started the day in the Devils hole area just up the river from Lewiston. We had a really good Steelhead bite in the morning with some Lake trout mixed in. Around 11:30 we decided to head to the mouth of the river and fish Lake Ontario for some Lake Trout. We had doubles and triples on EVERY drift. The action on the "BAR" was fast and furious. The water right now is perfect and their are plenty of fish to catch. So lets GET THE NET WET before the next wind storm turns the river to mud again...716-550-0413... Get the Net Wet!

Please take a look at the Great Lakes Steelhead Company. I had the pleasure of fishing with Zack Rayno the owner on Thursday. We had a great day. This is the link to his site and his fishing report for the day.    Great Lakes Steelhead Company

Scott & Alex - "Guys Weekend" 2/10/13

Scott, Alex and I grew up together and were basically inseparable. Over time as we got older and went our separate ways it has been harder to get together. The last time we fished together was about 6 years ago. We have been planning another trip since then but it never worked out. Well we finally were able to get together again to do some fishing. We were hoping to fish 2 days but a few to many and watching the sun come up on friday put a little damper on Saturdays fishing.

Today was a different story. We were up early and ready to go. With temps in the single digits and few jam-ups at the launch (due to the cold), we had a slow start but that didn't last long. We hooked up on the first drift and the action stayed pretty steady all day. We had a good mix of fish Steelhead, Browns and Lakers. All in all it was a great visit with my two buddies. We told old stories, made new stories and learned a few things. Now that we are all "40" and the "baton" has been passed down...it makes you think about a few things. As we try to hang onto our youth and try to avoid the inevitable, are you ever really ready? Well we may not be as good as we once were but one thing still holds true...WE CAN STILL FISH! Thanks guys for a great weekend.

NEW REPORT FIRST TRIP OF THE NEW YEAR

What a way to start the new year! I was met at the dock on this cold windy January morning by Ryan, Ricky and Justin. Three fisherman eager to catch some Steelhead. This was Justin's "dirty thirty" birthday trip. After a brief discussion about other people thinking we were crazy...we headed up river. Shortly into the first drift we were hooked up. For the next 6 hours the action never let up! We caught fish on every drift, singles, doubles and triples. Half way through our day the discussion of Landing 30 fish for Justin's thirtieth birthday came up. Drift after drift it started to become more of a reality...about 1 pm Justin hooked #30. The final total at the end of the day was 32-36 fish landed.

Thanks guys for such a great day! LETS "GET THE NET WET"!  Call 716-550-0413
